The Army Aviation Association of America's (AAAA) has established a scholarship in the honor of SSG Darryl D. Booker. On October 27, 2008 the SSG Darryl D. Booker Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Birkdale Golf and Country Club in Midlothian, VA in order to raise funds for this scholarship. One Cow Standing was honored to donate to this scholarship by sponsoring a hole for the tournament.

Staff Sergeant Darryl D. Booker was a member of the Virginia Army National Guard deployed to Iraq in October 2006. He was killed in the line of duty January 20, 2007. SSG Booker was returning from a forward operating base in the Anbar Province of Iraq. He was aboard a helicopter that was shot down just outside of Baghdad, Iraq. The 49th Annual Virginia National Guard Officer's Conference was held at Virginia Beach, Virginia on 24 and 25 April 2009. One Cow Standing felt that helping sponsor the conference was a way to say thank you to the brave men and women who have served our country as members of the Army and Air National Guard.

The conference kicked off with a Captain's Choice Golf Tournament held at Eagle Haven Golf Course, Little Creek NAB. Other events on Friday held at the Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront, included Vendor Exhibits, Council meetings, a Friday Night Mixer and Command Hospitality Rooms. Saturday's events included Vendor Exhibits, Business Sessions, Command Hospitality Rooms and a Banquet and Dance.
